Measurements for Security Bollards

When installing security bollards, correct spacing is essential to balance pedestrian access with vehicle restriction.

Pedestrian Access:
Always allow at least 1.5 meters between two bollards. This ensures people, including those using wheelchairs, strollers, or mobility aids, can comfortably pass through.

Vehicle Restriction:
To prevent cars or larger vehicles from entering, the gap between bollards should never exceed 1.7 meters. Anything wider could allow unauthorized vehicles to squeeze through.

Rule of Thumb:
Keep gaps between 1.5m and 1.7m. This strikes the right balance—wide enough for people, narrow enough to stop vehicles.
